ANIMAL ASSISTED THERAPY (AAT) ACTIVITIES

January 1993 - Present
Volunteer 20 to 30 hours per month with certified therapy dogs at Health South Rehabilitation Hospital of Tyler working with Ms. Shari Bernard Curran, OTR , assisting patients recuperating from a variety of illnesses.

August 1994 - Present
Visiting minimum and maximum security prisons in the Texas Dept. of Criminal Justice System up to 5 times/year. Visiting inmates with special needs through the occupational therapy department.

June 1995 - Present
Coordinates and volunteers with certified therapy dogs tri-monthly in visitation program at Mother Frances Hospital, a 458 bed acute care facility.

January 1995 – Present
Certified Therapet Animal Assisted Therapy Foundation Animal Evaluator.
