Or are there other factors that push our profession to continually give to others while neglecting our own needs? It is no wonder we feel tired, worn out and at times overwhelmed by the neediness we are faced with daily. How can we continue to give? How do we learn to give to ourselves and not feel guilty? This session will focus on real life answers to unlock true empowerment of ourselves and profession.
Key Content: Examining case studies to learn the reasons nurses give to others and neglect themselves; Identify strategies for giving control back to the nurse and lessening the victim role; and recommendations for caregivers to empower themselves with knowledge and self-care strategies that will leave them feeling whole and ready to continue on with enthusiasm!
